While this isn’t the first animal-shaped electric bus, it may just be the cutest, even though someone might confuse it for a mouse. But that’s part of the beauty – it can be whatever animal you want it to be!
This 14-seater electric bus, including the driver, features a classic koala design. The interior isn’t quite as magical as the exterior, but there are some head-scratchers spread around, such as the seat belt system.
Despite its cute appearance, this 5-meter bus is surprisingly lightweight at 2,755 lb, with a relatively small 5.5 kW motor powering the rear axle and a 9.6 kWh battery. But who needs a bus that can lay down respectable times at the drag strip when you have a bus with a koala on it?
It’s priced at around $8,500, but don’t think you can just have one in your driveway. Street legality, safety, and the risk of it being stolen should also be considered. So while it might be a fun and funny vehicle, it’s probably not worth the risk of owning one.
