The Tesla Cybertruck, as demonstrated by VoyageATX in the embedded video above, has raised concerns that it feels like an unfinished product while driving on an off-road course at the Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Texas.
Other vehicles present at the same location included a Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness and a Toyota 4Runner.

The Cybertruck seems to struggle off-road
A video posted on YouTube shows the Tesla Cybertruck struggling on an off-road course. With one wheel in the air, the car stops for a couple of seconds before attempting to move again, but to no avail.
It’s important to note that the Cybertruck driver admits to being a novice in off-roading and was aware of the challenges when purchasing the controversial battery-powered truck.
It’s surprising that despite being touted as “durable and rugged enough to go anywhere” for a price of about $100,000, the Cybertruck faced challenges on the same trail as a souped-up all-wheel-drive hatchback.
The Cybertruck struggled to overcome a specific obstacle on the Texas off-road course, leading its driver to choose an alternate, easier route. Strikingly, none of the wheels still touching the ground were spinning, indicating that it wasn’t a tire issue.
While the video creator attempted various driving modes and even lowered the tire pressure, the Cybertruck still failed to conquer the rocky bump. It’s notable that the truck doesn’t have available locking differentials, as seen on the central touchscreen.

Even without locking differentials, the Cybertruck’s traction control system should have been able to send power to the wheels with the most traction, similar to the performance of the Subaru and Toyota on the trail. Other Cybertrucks faced similar struggles in different off-road settings, but eventually overcame the obstacles.
It’s possible that the driver in the video didn’t select the right setting for the scenario, but even so, the vehicle should have been more effective in moving forward. It appears to be a software issue that can potentially be resolved with an over-the-air update, although this hasn’t happened yet.
