This year marks Valeo’s 10th CES attendance, solidifying its position as one of the longest-attending automotive brands at this once-prevalent home appliance show. In its earlier years, CES was about big-screen TVs and Wi-Fi-connected fridges, marking a strong shift towards the EV revolution that Valeo has been part of for quite some time now.

During Valeo’s press conference, they humorously acknowledged their history at CES, featuring a scripted banter between the company’s CEO and North American director. They revisited some of their past hits, including the Xtravue trailering camera system, and unveiled their new “Smart front camera as central computer” product that aims to democratize advanced driver assist systems (ADAS).

The announcement continued with a discussion of Valeo’s revolutionary integration of ADAS across nearly 3 million vehicles in 2023, and a sneak peek at their development of a system that could bring ADAS-like safety features to any vehicle, including two-wheelers, through its mobile device. This last bit may be game-changing for cyclists, bikers, and the Iron Butt community.

Furthermore, Valeo introduced its Digital Twin testing environment, showcasing how it uses a virtual world to test various scenarios in an accelerated timeframe. This is groundbreaking for developing thermal management solutions that can massively improve real-world range and battery longevity for EVs.

As always, your feedback is valuable. Share your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page to let us know what you and your digital twin think of all this Valeo news.
