Tesla recently lowered the prices for its official car wrap color selection and introduced a new color option, ‘Satin Abyss Blue’ for Model 3 and Model Y.

After years of speculation, Tesla finally released its ‘color paint protection film,’ more commonly known as a car wrap, late last year.

Traditionally, Tesla has offered only a limited choice of paint colors for its electric vehicles. This led many owners to seek third-party options for car wraps.

As of October, Tesla is now offering its own wraps installed by certified Tesla technicians.

Initially, the wraps were quite expensive, priced between $7,500 and $8,000. However, Tesla has now reduced the prices to between $5,700 and $6,000.

While still relatively expensive compared to aftermarket options, the prices are now much more reasonable.

In addition to the price reduction, Tesla has also introduced the new ‘Satin Abyss Blue’ color option to its lineup.

While these wraps are only available through the app, Tesla has limited installation locations and eligibility for getting one is determined directly through the app’s interface.

Interestingly, Tesla has also run out of the ‘Rose Gold’ wraps, which was arguably the most unique and intriguing color in the lineup.
