Experiencing the theft of my high-end electric bike last year was a mix of emotions from violation to anger. However, one electric bike manufacturer is facing an even more devastating situation after $1M worth of new e-bikes was stolen in a single incident.

Canadian e-bike maker Biktrix, known for its impressive high-power models, revealed the heartbreaking news that a container of new Juggernaut FS ST e-bikes, along with several prototypes, was stolen from its warehouse in Delta, BC.

This incident is a major setback for Biktrix, which has grown from a small garage startup a decade ago to a leading e-bike manufacturer with a customer base of 20,000.

The stolen Juggernaut FS ST e-bike model, the first of its kind, was recently announced, with Biktrix getting ready to ship the first batch to fulfill pre-orders.

Unlike other electric bikes that use various components and frames from OEM parts catalogs, the Juggernaut FS ST is uniquely designed by Biktrix, featuring a distinctive hidden rear shock assembly.

The bike is equipped with a powerful mid-drive motor generating 1,200 watts of power and a large 1,300 Wh battery, double the size of an average e-bike battery.

Featuring a combination of cadence and torque sensors for pedal assist, along with throttle control, the Juggernaut FS ST stands out among high-powered full-suspension e-bikes, especially for a step-through design.

To aid in identification, each bike is stamped with a serial number ranging from BK2CE30001 to BK2CE30140, making it easier to recognize in case they appear in the secondary market.

Security footage shared by Biktrix shows the thieves arriving at the warehouse with a Ryder semi-truck to transport the stolen container. In mere minutes, they broke the lock securing the container and drove off with $1M worth of new e-bikes.

Despite providing useful information like license plate numbers to the police, a lack of video footage from traffic cameras and limited surveillance time hindered the investigation, leaving Biktrix devastated over the loss of their hard work and dreams.

Although the container was insured under a standard policy, it may not be covered after reaching the receiving warehouse. Biktrix remains hopeful that the authorities can recover the stolen container and urges the public to report any sightings of the unique Juggernaut FS ST bikes.

In the face of adversity, Biktrix stays resilient and determined to overcome this setback, using it as motivation to innovate and push forward.
