Porsche has recently launched the all-electric second-generation Macan, and has updated its U.S. website with an online configurator. This allows for easy personalization using 3D visuals and a wide range of trim and spec options to choose from. Despite the Macan’s status as the entry-level Porsche, the available options reveal that it is anything but entry-level. (Technically, the 718 is the cheapest Porsche model).
The MSRP of the Macan Turbo Electric, the more powerful and expensive of the two variants launched, is $105,300 before delivery fees. However, using the online configurator, fans, hobbyists, or potential buyers can add over $56,000 worth of equipment, which is just a little more than the MSRP of the Tesla Model Y Performance. The configurator is comprehensive, although not as vast as the one for the 911 S/T.
The most expensive option that can be added to the Macan Electric is a set of 22-inch lightweight carbon fiber wheels with also an expensive price of $7,410, which is part of Porsche’s “Exclusive Manufaktur” kit. The second most costly option is deviated stitching for most A-surface areas in the cabin at $4,730.
Other notable additions include a 1,470-watt Burmester sound system with 21 speakers and a 400-watt subwoofer, costing, $2,520, and the latest augmented reality head-up display, which comes in at $2,520.
Surprisingly, smaller options can add up, such as $370 for a rear windshield wiper, $1,570 for a passenger display, and $1,270 for bespoke floor mats.

Less common additions include options such as rear-axle-steering at just over $2,000, and a leather wallet for the Macan Electric’s user manual at $840.
While these additions can significantly raise the price, it’s possible to configure the Macan Electric to your specific requirements for a lot less than the maximum total. Porsche’s open configurator is a fun feature of their options strategy, allowing everyone to explore and design. Share your designs in the comments below!
