When reviewing the app improvements, I noticed that it was challenging to see what the “Out of Service” banner would look like. I scrolled around and couldn’t find any stations that were out of service. After some confusion, I discovered that stations out of service are depicted in grey on the map, with the banner appearing when clicked on.
Furthermore, the ability to report issues has been greatly improved, allowing users to select from the most common problems instead of having to describe the issue in detail. This streamlined process will aid Electrify America and Electrify Canada in understanding and addressing issues more efficiently.
Significant Network Improvements
Past reports have indicated that Electrify America’s oldest charging stations suffered from poor reliability, occasionally resulting in safety hazards. The replacement of problematic power modules raises anticipation for improved performance, and the implementation of idle fees may encourage more responsible use of the charging stations. Finally, the improved start charge feature awaits testing by users.
