In a recent study conducted by car check experts at Motorscan, Brighton has been identified as the most expensive seaside town to park your car this Easter holiday season.

Using data from Parkopedia, the study analyzed the average parking costs in 30 prominent UK seaside towns. The focus was on parking spots available for an 8-hour duration within a 30-minute walking distance from the town center.

Many parents seek ways to keep their kids entertained during school breaks, with a beach trip being a popular choice. However, high parking costs can detract from the experience.

Brighton takes the lead as the seaside town with the highest parking charges, averaging at £24.21 for an 8-hour stay. Following closely behind is Newquay, a popular Cornish town, with an average parking fee of £12.32 for the same duration.

The third spot is claimed by another beloved Cornish spot, Falmouth, with a slight difference of just £0.20, totaling £12.12 for 8 hours of parking.

Speaking about the study, Oliver Thompson, Head of Vehicle Intelligence at Motorscan, emphasized the impact of parking costs on holiday experiences, particularly during peak periods like Easter half term.
