Enhanced Performance with Tesla FSD Beta V12.3

Having extensively used Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta V12.3 in my Model 3 for the past two years, I can provide valuable insights into its latest capabilities.

After receiving the update on March 24, 2024, I noticed significant advancements in the software’s functionality. Despite Elon Musk’s initial promise to remove the beta tag with V12, it has been retained.

The key highlight of the V12 update is the implementation of ‘end-to-end neural nets’ for vehicle control, a departure from traditional programmed controls. Additionally, the system now seamlessly handles both city and country driving.

My Experience with Tesla FSD Beta V12.3

Initiating FSD Beta V12.3 now requires pulling down the right stalk only once, indicating smoother operations.

1. Traffic lights and stop signs are now visually represented on the route map, enhancing navigation and awareness.

2. Roundabouts are now navigated flawlessly, eliminating previous issues of abrupt stops within such settings.

3. Lane changes with the turn stalk are now executed with enhanced smoothness and preparation for turns.

4. Maneuvering out of complex environments like parking lots has been notably improved.

5. The software’s response to stop signs can be perceived as cautious, potentially leading to delays in acceleration.

6. Speed limit constraints have been imposed, limiting the overspeeding allowance in urban areas.

7. Improved stopping accuracy near stop signs enhances overall driving experience.

8. Precise speed adjustments for speed bumps showcase better adaptability to road conditions.
