YouTuber Zack Nelson took the Silverado EV RST on a road trip from Las Vegas to Phoenix and achieved an impressive range of 460.2 miles before needing to recharge.
Compared to competitors like the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and Tesla Cybertruck, the Silverado EV boasts a superior range of 440 miles, making it a standout in the electric truck market.
Nelson’s journey included highways, dirt roads, and city streets, demonstrating the truck’s real-world performance. The Silverado EV achieved an efficiency of 2 miles per kilowatt-hour during the trip.
While a 440-mile range may seem excessive for most users, it can be a crucial selling point for truck buyers, especially those who tow trailers. With its impressive range, the Silverado EV may appeal to traditional truck owners looking to switch to electric.
The Silverado EV’s price tag of $96,495 reflects the cost of its large battery pack, placing it in the luxury truck category. Deliveries are expected to begin in mid-2024.
